As a leading tournament organizer in France and Italy, Texapoker and its founder Apo Chantzis are expanding across Europe with the launch of the European Championship of Poker (ECOP). After a postponement earlier this year and a first stop in Rozvadov, the next event takes place at Club Circus Paris from October 16 to 27, in partnership with PMU Poker.
With ECOP, Texapoker is creating a European-scale poker festival, bringing together all the key ingredients that have made its French and Italian events so successful over the years. The creation of this new European circuit is based on Apo’s belief that: “We must continue to democratize poker across Europe. Our goal is to offer high-quality tournaments with deep structures and affordable buy-ins.” The founder of Texapoker also added: “Poker is a sport like any other and should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we chose to launch a European tour, hoping players will follow us across the continent.”
The Paris edition of ECOP will feature five main tournaments, including ECOP Opener €500 (4 Day 1s and a 3-day structure), ECOP Omaha €500 (2 days), ECOP Progressive KO €500, ECOP High Roller €2,000 (2 days on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 October) and the Main Event ECOP Millenium €1,000 with a deep structure over 4 days with 60 and 75-minute levels.
